Happy Friday girls! How are you doing? How are you feeling? How has your week been? 

I want to get right to it and talk all about confidence. The truth is, most of us spend the majority of our time critiquing every single thing about ourselves. Am I right, or am I right? It’s pretty hard not to do this when we live in a world of comparison. But…I want YOU babe, to be the most radiant and confident version of yourself that you possibly can.

Do you ever talk with someone who is incredibly confident in who they are? They radiate positive energy, and they make YOU feel better about yourself, simply by being around them. Confidence is so powerful (and contagious). 

It’s so much easier said than done though, right? I mean, we are bombarded all day every day with images of beautiful people who seem to “have it all.” These constant pictures and videos can take a toll on our self-esteem, but the thing is…it doesn’t HAVE to be this way.


Here are my tips on getting your confidence back in a world of comparison:

Have a social media detox.

I know…this is coming from the person who has built a business through social media. Crazy, right? As much as I love Instagram, I realize how essential it is to take a break as often as you feel benefits you. Turn off your phone, log out of your account…do whatever it takes in order to not be tempted to scroll aimlessly through your feed. 

Unfollow the people who you feel no longer serve you.

Yes, and that even applies to ME if you feel I don’t bring any sort of value to you anymore – whether it’s enjoyment from seeing my pictures, relatability, connectedness, support, or inspiration/education. The reality is, sometimes we need to re-evaluate who we watch and listen to on social media. How do they make you FEEL when you read their blog posts or see their pictures? 

Passion builds confidence.

You know what I have realized the most this year? I feel more confident than I have ever felt because I am fully in alignment with what I’m doing in life. When you feel like you’re giving value to someone else or offering a service you believe in and enjoy, it fuels your confidence. Find out what this is, get outside of your comfort zone and go for it babe!

Take care of yourself!

I know, you’ve heard this a thousand times before, but it’s SO incredibly important. The moment you realize how powerful your body and mind are is the moment your life will take a major shift. Exercise to reduce stress and feed your body nourishing foods. If you do this, I promise you will not only feel better physically, but you will feel better emotionally too.

Stop beating yourself up.

Not to be negative, but you won’t always be the prettiest, smartest, best-at-everything person. No one is! Stop taking life too seriously and realize that you are far from perfect, and all of those imperfections is what makes you, YOU. It’s okay not to have everything figured out. Seriously, who does anyway? Get rid of the negative self talk and focus more on what you love about yourself.

You are who you surround yourself with.

Reflect on the people in your life. Are they serving you? Do they make you feel good when you’re around them? Surround yourself with people who will not only lift you higher, but will help you become better. Who are your mentors? Who can you learn from? Although it’s so important to accept you as you are, it’s also valuable to constantly learn and grow from people who inspire you. 

Stay in your lane.

I’m a firm believer that we spend way too much time watching other people and either judging them, or thinking we should be exactly like them. Focus on YOUR stuff: your goals, passions and interests. If you find yourself fixated on another person’s life at all times, re-evaluate and reflect on why it is you do this. If someone seriously inspires you, that’s not a bad thing – use them to grow, but don’t let their life consume you.
