Month: August 2018

Hey loves!

I’m super excited to share my spare bathroom makeover with all of you. As some of you know, it’s been in the works for a few months now. This is technically Brielle and Mila’s bathroom, and to be honest…there was nothing WRONG with their bathroom prior to the ‘makeover’…it was FINE. Our house is brand new, and therefore,  it didn’t require a major facelift at all. Their bathroom was just a little bit boring and uninviting, and I wanted to bring it to life with some simple changes: wallpaper and decor accents.

I really didn’t want the bathroom to feel childish. I wanted the girls to love it, but more importantly, I wanted it to still have a ‘grown-up’ feel, so guests who stay the night can also enjoy the space.

Mila and Brielle absolutely LOVE flowers. Instead of asking me to buy them candy at the grocery store, they ask me to buy them a bouquet of blooms. So, when I found this beautiful floral wallpaper at Brewster Home Fashions, I instantly fell in love. This wallpaper still has the feminine touch I was looking for, but without screaming ‘KIDS BATHROOM’, if you know what I mean.

I decided to wallpaper their bathroom to make it a little bit more inviting. This wallpaper is truly the perfect neutral; it has some greys, taupes and white, and therefore complements almost any space.

Since the floral print is a little bit ‘busy’, I decided to do a reclaimed shiplap accent wall above the sink. This wallpaper is actually a ‘NuWallpaper peel and stick’ by WallPops, which is amazing! It made the application easy and fast.

All of the bathroom accents are from Linen Chest. I found this flamingo framed wall art and fell in love with it. I knew the girls would adore it too, and it fit this narrow wall perfectly.

I chose a very simple white shower curtain, grey and blush pink towels (also from Linen Chest). A small boutique of artificial tulips sit on the counter for some pretty decor, and a small hand towel rack. As well, I found this adorable bird soap dispenser at Linen Chest for a cute touch.

The beautiful white wall shelf is from Brewster Home. The decor pieces on the shelf are from Linen Chest. I filled the clear glass canister with bathroom items that guests may need (makeup wipes, razors, shaving cream, floss, toothpaste, etc) for a little added touch.
