Happy Thursday loves! I don’t know about you, but this quarantine has got the girls and I baking up a storm. We’re trying all kinds of new recipes, but these blueberry muffins are one of our staples. We’ve actually been making these for quite some time now, and they are FULLY kid approved.
I just made a fresh batch of this chex mix for the girls and decided to toss in some pink and red to give it all the Valentine’s Day feels. It’s one of Mila’s favourite treats, and I think the aroma of caramel that comes from it baking is one of those smells that will create nostalgia for the girls as they get older; it’s comforting, ‘home-y’ and delicious.
On Sunday afternoon, I decided to bake some bread and when I shared it in my stories, I received SO many DM’s requesting the recipe, so here it is! I actually first got this recipe from my mom’s good friend who delivered this bread to me after I had Mila. I remember taking one bite and immediately thinking “I NEED TO MAKE THIS.”
WOW…First off, where did 2019 go?! Every year seems to fly by faster than the last and self reflecting always reminds me to try and live as presently as possible because time is so fleeting. This year was FULL of changes for our family and also me personally. We bought and flipped a house, I travelled more for work than I have ever before, we lost my Nana and Nick’s Grandmother, too. Nat and I started our podcast (which now feels like we’ve been doing forever), Brielle and Mila have grown and evolved in so many ways – their personalities shining more brightly than ever.
Okay, guys…as most of you know, we have a pretty strong vitamin regime in our household. With proper direction from my Naturopath and Doctor, I’ve implemented certain supplements that can be tricky to get in with a regular diet. Even though we are healthy eaters, we still lack certain nutrients and have gaps in food groups (hey there Friday pizza night)!
