I really do believe that mom guilt comes in massive waves. Some days, you feel like you’ve got this whole mom thing together. The kids are playing happily, you had a few extra minutes to clean the kitchen, and you even had time to prep dinner before three p.m (that in itself is a huge accomplishment, right)?? But, the next day all of those feelings of accomplishment quickly vanish. The kids have thrown five tantrums before nine a.m., you have a meeting you’re already running late to, and you’ve lost your patience more times than you’d like to admit.
Mila has taught me so many lessons, I’m certain that all children do. They have a way of bringing out every single emotion in us, and there is no self development book that has helped me more than my children have.
Hi Everyone!! After asking you guys what kind of content you would like to see on the blog, SO many of you requested ‘marriage advice after kids’. Because of the multiple requests, I knew it was important to take on this subject matter. I’ll be honest… It feels a little bit strange sharing my marriage openly with the world (I think it just makes me feel a little bit vulnerable). However, I think it’s a topic that most couples can relate to and I’m excited to dive right in.
Hey loves! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Last week was such a whirlwind for us as Brielle came down with a horrible cold and I had a crazy busy work week, so we were all excited to unwind and relax this weekend. I’ll admit, I have a difficult time doing nothing. I get antsy if I sit around too long, and I find I like to keep busy on the weekends with fun family outings, dinner parties or errand running.
I can’t believe Mila turned 4 on Friday. She is officially no longer a toddler, and now…a little girl? From now on, is that what I refer to her as? It kind of breaks my heart. Four just seems so much older than 3, do you agree? When she turned 3, she still felt so very small to me. We still had quite a bit of time until she would go to school, and perhaps that alone made me feel like she was still very much a toddler.
