Now that Summer has come to an end and the school year has began, the stress and overwhelm of staying on track with healthy meals can seem exhausting and nearly impossible. Although I can appreciate the quick granola bar tossed in my daughter’s lunch or a Friday pizza night, I also love having my fridge stocked with healthy items that I can just as easily grab on the go. What I’ve learnt is that you’re more likely to avoid unhealthy food options if it’s simply not there.
Hey loves! I’m super excited to share my spare bathroom makeover with all of you. As some of you know, it’s been in the works for a few months now. This is technically Brielle and Mila’s bathroom, and to be honest…there was nothing WRONG with their bathroom prior to the ‘makeover’…it was FINE. Our house is brand new, and therefore, it didn’t require a major facelift at all.
Hey loves! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Last week was such a whirlwind for us as Brielle came down with a horrible cold and I had a crazy busy work week, so we were all excited to unwind and relax this weekend. I’ll admit, I have a difficult time doing nothing. I get antsy if I sit around too long, and I find I like to keep busy on the weekends with fun family outings, dinner parties or errand running.
I don’t know if you’re anything like me, but I get the “itch” to switch up my home decor often. We bought this dresser and night stand for Brielle before she was born. We were in a little bit of a rush to find something (second child problems), and we didn’t know whether we were having a boy or a girl, so dark brown was a safe bet. The dark brown furniture worked – there’s nothing wrong with it. But, let’s be honest – it’s not very eye catching, and there is absolutely nothing unique or pretty about it.
